Faber offers Fab Specials this May and June


Faber, situated on Avondale Wine Estate outside Paarl, and one of Africa and South Africa’s leading restaurants (Haute Grandeur Awards 2020: Best Garden Restaurant in Africa, Most Unique Experience in Africa, Best Restaurant View in South Africa) invites you to join them this May and June for fabulous Faber specials and memorable Mother’s and Father’s Day lunches.

Mother’s Day Lunch: Sunday, 09 May 2021
(from 12h00, with last reservation taken at 14h00)

Spoil mom and allow her to kick back and relax by bringing the whole family together at Faber restaurant, to tuck into a contemporary farm-to-fork meal.

Their tables are socially distanced on the veranda, overlooking the lush gardens or inside the restaurant with a roaring fireplace, looking into the open plan kitchen. Kiddies are welcome to play on the rolling lawns. Feel free to choose from their seasonal and organic menu or indulge in the six-course Faber menu to experience all that chef Dale has to offer.

Father’s Day Lunch: Sunday, 20 June 2021

Allow dad to relax with some contemporary and wholesome dishes that can be enjoyed with Avondale organic and biodynamic wines sold at cellar door prices.

  • 3 course: R450 per adult

  • 2-course kiddies’ menu: R110 (for children under 12yrs)

Lunch: Wednesday to Sunday (from 12h00, with last reservation taken at 14h00)
Dinner: Thursday to Saturday (from 18h00, with last reservation taken at 19h30)

Start off with a slice of our freshly baked, slow-fermented sourdough and our famous pumpkin fritters before choosing between 2 mains and 2 desserts, accompanied by a side of fries. The contemporary and wholesome dishes can be enjoyed with Avondale organic and biodynamic wines sold at cellar door prices.

Faber Weekend Steak Special: Friday and Saturday evenings (from 18h00, with last reservation taken at 19h30)

Enjoy Faber breadboard with a taster of Avondale MCC, followed by a FABER main course steak and a glass of Avondale Samsara Syrah 2011 for R235, every Friday and Saturday evening from 6pm!

Serving high-quality grass-fed beef, that has been wet-aged for 28 days by our local butcher and then dry-aged by chef Dale for another 24 days – resulting in a tender and flavour bursting steak every time. As we pride ourselves on serving seasonal, local and organic produce, mostly harvested from our organic garden, steak garnishes may vary each week, which is great for guests wanting to dine with us often.

The full á la carte and six-course Faber menu are also available. Bring your friends and family together, in the heart of the Winelands, to relax and unwind.

When making a reservation, please notify the team of any dietary requirements or allergies the kitchen needs to be aware of. Please note that a deposit of R150 per person is required to secure the booking.

As Faber restaurant is a contemporary farm-to-fork restaurant, they pride themselves on serving seasonal, local and organic produce, mostly harvested from the organic garden. As such, the menu changes regularly ensuring a new experience for return guests.
