Vegetarians Unite! Live-Cook Channel Goes Plant-Based

As the world moves more decisively towards plant-based meals, the Live-Cook Channel is proud to announce that we’ll be hosting our first-ever vegetarian plant-based cook-along.

Making a delightful, fresh and seasonal signature dish of Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Vegetable Ragout on Wednesday, 14 October, is Hazendal’s talented Chef Michelle Theron.

Elevate Your Vegetarian Experience with Chef Michelle

Chef Michelle has been on a journey of health and wellness for several years now and is renowned for making incredible vegan dishes that both look and taste magnificent. Not only does she love creating vegetable dishes, but she believes in using seasonal veg, too, which is an added bonus when it comes to caring for the earth. She is keen to show of her forays into the world of plant-based cooking.

Here’s her personal invitation: “I am super, super stoked to be cooking with you on 14 October on the Live-Cook Channel. I’ll be preparing one of my all-time favourite guilt-free recipes for you – vegetarian or plant-based gnocchi. So be sure to order your box by 8 October to join me. Get it done and I’ll see you soon!”

For this unique dish from her arsenal of favourites, viewers will be cooking Almond and Sweet Potato Gnocchi with a rich Garlic Cashew Cream Sauce and finished with a refreshing Green Vegetable Ragout. Not only are you guaranteed to be filled, but this is sure to get your mouth salivating for more plant-based meals in the future.

Winning Pairings Unpacked

As Head Chef of Hazendal Wine Estate, there’s no doubt that Michelle is a wine connoisseur – but did you know that she’s particularly great at creating extraordinary pairings? In a special segment on the show, she will be giving us a mini-lesson on wine pairing from one of the Western Cape’s great vintner towns: Robertson.

So be sure to bring your glass, notepad and pen so you can visit these astounding vineyards and see (and taste) their beauty for yourself.
